Our Joyous Rejuvenate Tea

As you might already know, I'm a tea drinker and have been recommending tea to my clients and on the blog for as long as I can remember.
Sep 17, 2021 | Joy McCarthy

As you might already know, I'm a tea drinker and have been recommending tea to my clients and on the blog for as long as I can remember. Tea is a fantastic and delicious way to drink your way to health!

You may recall back in the spring I interviewed Shelby Kroach , owner and creator of the Honest Leaf for the blog.

I loved her philosophy to provide teas that have nothing to hide. "Honest" teas, which means, what's printed on the label is exactly what you'll get inside the bag.

Unfortunately there are many popular mainstream brands that are full of artificial ingredients, unnatural colours and are just as bad as eating junk food. However, it's been somehow accepted that because it's "tea", it's healthy. I don't want to bash any brands, but rather highlight the fact that Honest Leaf is the real deal folks and this really resonated with me.

After months of collaborating with Shelby to create the perfect "joyous" blend that is as delicious as it is heavy on beneficial herbs, I'm thrilled to announce we have a now have this special blend available in our Joyous Shop exclusive to us! You can find it here.

This was the first package of our Joyous Tea:

It's since been revamped into this – our Joyous Rejuvenate Tea! It's the same delicious and nourishing blend; the packaging has just been updated :).Joyous Rejuvenate Tea

How Did The Joyous Rejuvenate Blend Come To Be?

It took a few months working with Shelby (and doing many tea taste tests) to create a blend that includes my favourite herbs and flavours including lemongrass, ginger, and milk thistle. This blend is detoxifying and anti-inflammatory -- both of which are essential for beauty and digestion.

Plus, it was critically important that the flavour be uplifting, fresh and rejuvenating so that when you drink it, you feel JOYOUS!

I'm really excited about this tea because it is wonderfully tasty and you can feel good drinking this tea knowing it doesn't have anything to hide!

Take A Look At The Organic Ingredients:

All of the ingredients in our Joyous Rejuvenate Tea are certified organic to support the health of our customers and the planet:

  • Green Rooibos
  • Lemongrass
  • Ginger
  • Milk Thistle
  • Lemon Verbena
  • Hibiscus
  • Lemon Peel
  • Lemongrass Oil

The ingredients taste amazing warm or chilled. I combined our Joyous Rejuvenate with our Radiance tea to make an incredible Rejuvenating Iced Tea

Health Benefits of Joyous Rejuvenate Tea

organic herbal tea

Green Rooibos

Rooibos, meaning "red bush," is a caffeine-free tea that comes from South Africa. The leaves are harvested from the bush, ground and then bruised. Unlike red rooibos tea that is left to ferment, green rooibos does not undergo this process. Therefore it has a lighter, milder taste. Green rooibos tea is high in antioxidants and minerals such as iron, potassium and zinc.

Lemon Grass

This grass has a sweet lemony flavour, as its name suggests. It is an excellent digestive aid, helping to reduce indigestion, and provides both anti-bacterial and antioxidant protection.

Ginger

Traditionally, ginger has been used to support digestive health, helping to reduce intestinal gas and symptoms of motion sickness. It has also been shown to provide powerful anti-inflammatory protection. You can learn more about the incredible health benefits of ginger here.

Milk Thistle

A flowering plant that is frequently used as a powerful liver detoxifying agent. It also supports the kidneys and gastrointestinal system as well as providing anti-inflammatory benefits.

If you wish to try this Joyous blend you can find it in the Joyous Shop. We also have a delicious (and best-selling) Rise and Shine Tea, a soothing TLC Tea, a beauty-boosting Radiance Tea, and a Joyous Detox Tea!

Happy tea drinking!

I can get tea when I'm out; but for the real deal, I usually have to make my own: scald the pot *and* the cup (generally not one I'd have coffee in), water just right... Except for the odd specialty tea house, a really great cup of tea is one I make for myself, in my own space. Tea and coffee can both be part of lively social interaction; but if it's just me - it's tea.

I love tea because of its wonderful health benefits, and the fact that it can be used as: an energy boost in the morning; a calming drink in the evening; and a remedy for the common cold during those dreary winter months.

Tea gets me out of bed in the morning! I'm disabled and often wake up with heavy fatigue and an achy body. First thing I do is make a hot cup of tea and crawl back to bed where, sip by sip, I slowly wake up and come into my body feeling more vibrant and happy to be alive. :)

Hi Joy, I've loved tea since I was a little girl. My gramma, who was British, taught me at a very young age the correct way to brew it. I enjoy several cups a day of various types. My favourite one is white tea, and of course I enjoy all the yummy herbal teas as well. Sandy

Tea is comforting. I grew up drinking tea, though it was orange pekoe with loads of sugar and milk. However, I made the switch to herbal teas as a teenager (and let's just say that was a while ago, haha), and now my morning isn't completely without a large, hot mug of green tea, and atleast one or two decaf blends throughout the day.

I love tea because its a great alternative to drinking water. Which gets boring after awhile. I grew up as an anti water drinker. I consume juice and flavor sugar filled teas every chance I got. My diet was down on its luck. So I decided that for my 19th birthday that I am going to be vegetarian. It has been such beautiful natural and natural transition. I love encouraging others to cherish their bodies through what they eat and drink. Im drinking more water than ever, I'm trying to learn as much as possible about what works for my body, and experimenting with fruits and veggies. I came across the Joyous Health YouTube channel and I am impressed. I am excited most that the tea contains rooibos, which is the tea I have been planning on buying when I got the funds to do so. So I'm feeling pretty lucky ^___^ ' Thank you!

I love tea for many reasons, it reminds me of my parents who always had a cup of tea after dinner. My mom passed Dec 2012, when we cleaned out her personal belongings I took her favorite teacup and every now and then I take out the delicate china teacup and as I put it "I am having a cup of tea with mom" Tea is just a relaxing part of my day!

Hi Joy!! I love your blog and congrats on your partnership and new tea!! I really started adding tea to my daily routine 3 years ago after my naturopath suggested it as part of hormone balancing treatment. I'm not a tea connoisseur by any means, I just enjoy what taste good! It's been frustrating along my tea-journey to find natural, non-crap-filled options! What I love most about tea (aside from health benefits) is that it forces me to sit down, relax, and enjoy. :)

I love the health benefits tea provides. It is holistic. I just had a cup of ginger tea because my stomach feels upset. Not only did it soothe my stomach ache without me resorting to harsher medications, it soothed my soul. Tea gives me the chance to stop my crazy busy life for a few minutes and curl up with a steaming mug of magic. I drink tea with Valerian when I need to relax and chamomile when I need to de-stress. Also I'm British born so it'd in my genes :)

Why I love tea. It's getting colder outside and so, at my house, we switch to warm beverages, teas and warm/hot water. It's something we learned to do while living in china where drinking cold water is a big no-no and tea culture is huge. I've been know to grab a quick "bad for you" tea bag or get fancy with some loose leaf but the best is going out to the garden, like I did tonight, picking a bunch of chocolate mint and filling a big mug half full with leaves. Makes great tea. In the summer we are big sun-tea makers but that comes from my mom's southern roots and is a story for another day. Love your work. Going to try the chocolate chip nuggets this weekend and hope my kindergartener approves of them in her lunch.

I love my tea, because it provides a natural way to deal with the symptoms, issues, and even (yes!) pain before, during and right after the "time of the month." As a very young peri-menopausal woman, I reached out to my all time favourite beverage tea, using various stocks of herbal tea as my go-to option rather than reaching for highly debatable and definitely processed pain medications. Instead of an anti-inflammatory, I reach for tea with anti-inflammatory herbs and properties!

Tea always brings me back to my childhood. Every time Hockey Night in Canada was on, my would all gather in front of the tv for Coach's Corner with a tea and snack. Mine and my sister's "tea' usually consisted of warm milk with just a splash of Tetley from the "grown up's" tea pot, and the snack was a digestive biscuit and cheese. I remember feeling so important because I was watching Coach's Corner and drinking tea like my parents did. These days, I rarely watch Coach's Corner anymore and the tea selection has broadened somewhat, but whenever I have a mug of if in my hands, I still get that comforting sense of "Yeah, I'm drinking tea so that must mean I'm a grown up now!" I just wish I didn't have the bills that go along with it! Hehe!
