Welcome to thoughtful, organic beauty
Hello Joyous is an organic, plant-based, sustainable beauty brand here to bring more joy to your day.
Mochaccino or mochachino? Google couldn't seem to answer my question on this - probably because one spelling is Italian and the other one is English. Let's stick with Italian version shall we? ;) Regardless of how we spell it, it's gosh darn YUMMY!!
Don't let the flavour fool you into thinking this smoothie isn't power packed with energizing ingredients.
I don't know about you, but most of us could all use a little extra energy, especially if you are living in a climate like I am. Snow, little sun and frigid temperatures. I keep reminding myself that spring flowers are just around the corner!
Hopefully you saw my video on 12 Ways to Boost Your Energy and you've arrived here on the blog today because the force brought you here to try this AMAZING smoothie that tastes like a mochaccino. Let me tell you about the featured ingredient in my energy smoothie.
Greens+ Extra Energy -- BAM!
Just one serving daily (like a scoop in this smoothie) provides you with:
Energy boosting INGREDIENTS
You may have never heard of "kola nut seed extract" before...
It is a natural caffeine providing sustained energy and it is rich in polyphenols that support the nervous system.
If you want to learn more about the formulation and the research, then check out Genuine Health's website.
Important note: You may notice the label says "skim milk" on the ingredients list. And no, I'm not recommending you start slurping cow's milk again. This label claim is mandated by Health Canada because Greens+ Extra Energy contains eight bacterial cultures which are grown on a dairy medium, not unlike most probiotic supplements.
Joyous Highlights (additional ingredients in this mochaccino):
In case you have never enjoyed a mochaccino before, it tastes like a cappuccino with chocolate added.
*You could also use raw cacao nibs too, instead of chocolate chips. Walker likes chocolate chips and I made this smoothie for him!
When should you drink this smoothie? At the start of the day, so you have joyous sustained energy all day long. I do not recommend drinking this in the evening before bed unless you have a wild night planned -- oh LA LA!
Have a joyous day!
Joy
Thanks for the recipe my dear! This may be just the ticket to slow down my hubby's morning coffee consumption. Like he's said before, as long as he doesn't have to make it, he'll at least give any of my "hippie disgustingly healthy morning smoothies" a shot, haha.
ReplyHa! Thanks Tabitha! Let us know how it goes! Kate - Joyous Health Team
I made this smoothie this morning and it was amazing!! So creamy and delicious. www.westingwellness.com
ReplyWhat a wonderful recipe Joy! I always feel more energize after drinking this smoothie. Keep your great work! :-)
ReplyI treated myself to this today for my bday and it was delish! The greens + is expensive but I guess there's no price on good health. I wonder if this would also be good warmed-up, to replace sugary caffeine drinks I'm addicted to such as vanilla lattes. Maybe I'll try to warm it up next time. I know some powders tend to clump up in heat so it will be interesting to find out. Thanks Joy!!!
ReplyGreat idea! Let us know how it tastes warmed up! Kate - Joyous Health Team
Just bought myself the Greens+ Extra Energy, can't wait to make my first smoothie! Thanks for the recommendation, I always have a hard time picking a good quality powder...there's so many to choose from!
ReplyAwesome! Glad you're gonna try it out :)
I adore drinks like this! Colorful and vibrant and so full of lovely Italian flavors.
ReplyThis sounds extremely good! Noted down what is needed and tabs are open ;)
ReplyI recently bought Greens+ Extra Energy and have been drinking it every day for 3 weeks. I wanted to try something different and this was the perfect morning meal! For those of you who haven't tried this supplement I highly recommend it - it is a greens supplement that actually tastes good! *I subbed the handful of walnuts with 2 tbsp of cold-milled organic ground flaxseed. Still got the omega 3 fatty acids and healthy dose of fat that way. Thank you for another great recipe.
ReplyThanks Saskia, We think it's a pretty great supplement as well! Kate - Joyous Health Team
